Real estate mogul Donald Trump has a 4-point lead over retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson in the early presidential state of New Hampshire, according to a new poll from WBUR on the 2016 GOP presidential field.
Mr. Trump was at 22 percent, followed by Mr. Carson at 18 percent, businesswoman Carly Fiorina at 11 percent, and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Ohio Gov. John Kasich at 9 percent apiece.
Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas was at 5 percent, followed by Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky at 4 percent and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida at 2 percent each.
Mr. Carson was the best-liked of the candidates, with a 58 percent/10 percent favorable/unfavorable split, followed by Mrs. Fiorina with a 53 percent/16 percent split. Mr. Trump had a 45 percent/40 percent favorable/unfavorable split.
The survey of 404 likely GOP primary voters was conducted Sept. 12-14 and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percentage points.
