Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump joked Monday about comments he made last month about Fox News host Megyn Kelly that helped spark a war of words between the billionaire businessman and the cable network in the wake of the opening GOP presidential debate on Aug. 6.
Mr. Trump said at a rally in Dallas, Texas, there will be so many victories that “at some point, they’re just going to be coming out of your ears.”
“I have to be careful what I say about coming out of somebody’s ears,” he said. “Have to be careful.”
“Nose, ears, eyes — those are the only places I’m talking about,” Mr. Trump said. “But we’re going to have so many victories, and they’re going to be great victories, and we’re going to have them all the time. Because we have an amazing country. We have a country that is dying. They just want to have victory. We don’t have wins anymore. We don’t have it.”
Mr. Trump said Ms. Kelly treated him unfairly during the GOP debate hosted by Fox News last month and said of her on CNN afterward: “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever.”
He later said only a deviant would think he was referring to Ms. Kelly’s menstrual cycle. He has since made appearances on Fox News programs, though not on Ms. Kelly’s “The Kelly File.”
