A super PAC supporting the presidential candidacy of businesswoman Carly Fiorina has released a new video in which Mrs. Fiorina embraces comments GOP rival Donald Trump made about her in a recent magazine interview.
“Ladies, look at this face,” Mrs. Fiorina says in a recent speech, in the video released by CARLY for America. “And look at all of your faces.”
The video intersperses Mrs. Fiorina’s comments with faces of women.
“The face of leadership. The face of leadership in our party — the party of women’s suffrage,” she says.
“Ladies, note to Democrat party: We are not a special interest group. We are the majority of the nation,” Mrs. Fiorina says.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Mr. Trump had said of Mrs. Fiorina: “Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next president?!”
“I mean, she’s a woman, and I’m not s’posed ta say bad things, but really, folks, come on. Are we serious?” he said, according to the magazine.
Mr. Trump has since said he was referring to Mrs. Fiorina’s persona and not her looks.
“This is the face of a 61-year-old woman. I am proud of every year and every wrinkle,” Mrs. Fiorina says in the video.
