LANDOVER — Quarterback Robert Griffin III (concussion) headlined the Washington Redskins’ inactive list against the Miami Dolphins.
Griffin was medically cleared on Thursday but was listed as the third-string quarterback behind backup Colt McCoy.
The Redskins will be hard-pressed at tight end as well. Guard/tackle Tom Compton, who can play some tight end in run-blocking schemes, is inactive. New tight end Anthony McCoy, who signed with the team on Monday, was also inactive. That leaves the Redskins with just two tight ends— Jordan Reed and Derek Carrier for Sunday’s game.
Wide receiver Rashad Ross, offensive linemen Spencer Long and Arie Kouandjio, and linebacker Jackson Jeffcoat rounded out the list.
The Dolphins declared the following inactive: running back Jonas Gray, cornerbacks Will Davis and Tony Lippett, linebacker Chris McCain, offensive tackle Jason Fox, defensive tackle A.J. Francis, wide receiver Matt Hazel.
