Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump declined to name potential vice presidential picks Friday morning, saying he’s too focused on winning right now and that “my life has been a series of lots of wins.”

“I really don’t want to do that … it’s too soon — I’m focused totally on winning and winning at what I’m doing, and my life has been a series of lots of wins,” Mr. Trump said via phone on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

“I don’t like to lose and, you know, we’re doing really well,” he said. “But I don’t want to do that.”

Mr. Trump said he does have respect for some of the people he’s running against right now.

“So it could be somebody out of there,” he said. “It could be somebody that you [would] know very well that maybe wouldn’t be in that group. But it’s a little too soon for me to do that. … I think it would be a mistake.”
