Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump once again went after the finances of 2016 rival Sen. Marco Rubio, saying Tuesday the Florida Republican is a “lightweight” with just $12 in the bank.

“He’s a lightweight. He’s weak on immigration. Take a look at his past. He’s got $12 in the bank,” Mr. Trump said on CNN’s “New Day.” “He borrows. He works with this car dealer in Florida. Give me break.”

Mr. Trump said Mr. Rubio is not going to be the guy “negotiating with the kind of people you have to negotiate with to turn this country around.”

“And he was the one who attacked me first.  I didn’t attack him — he attacked me,” Mr. Trump said.

Mr. Trump has also said of Mr. Rubio that he’s never seen a young guy sweat so much, and his campaign this week sent Mr. Rubio’s camp some bottles of water with Mr. Trump’s face on them as a prank.

Mr. Rubio said Tuesday on “Fox and Friends” that he didn’t see it, but that he’s heard it’s “very high quality” water.

“Apparently Evian are a bunch of losers,” Mr. Rubio said. “It is what it is. … Yeah, I drink water. So what? And I only sweat when it’s hot.”
