BOULDER, Colorado — Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal said Wednesday that President Obama has placed the U.S. economy “on a path toward Socialism.”
During Wednesday’s GOP presidential primary debate, Mr. Jindal said that he would like to see voluntarily enacted programs like paid maternity leave and higher wages, but “government can’t wave a magic wand and make that happen.”
President Obama has tried to tell people that government is “the answer to all our problems,” and as a result, “We’re on a path toward Socialism,” said Mr. Jindal.
He appeared with three other candidates at the first Republican presidential primary debate at the University of Colorado’s Coors Events Center.
