Seeing a boom since the 2014 release of “The Lego Movie,” the Danish toymaker says it will not be able to keep up with demand in producing enough Lego bricks this Christmas.

“We will not be able to deliver all of the new orders coming from customers in the remainder of the year in some markets in Europe,” Lego spokesman Roar Trangbaek told CNN.

He declined to say which specific countries would be affected.

“We don’t anticipate a problem in the American market. This has quickly been touted as a global problem, but it’s only an issue some places in Europe,” he told MarketWatch.

Following “The Lego Movie’s” release, Lego sales grew 18 percent in the first half of 2015, up from 15 percent growth in 2014. The company made 60 billion Lego pieces last year, CNN reported.

“The high demand also puts a strain on our factories around the world,” Lego CFO John Goodwin said in a statement.

Lego, still owned by the Kirk Kristiansen family, is expanding its factories in Mexico, Hungary and Denmark to keep up with demand, but the new capacity won’t be available until 2020, CNN reported.
