The Right Side Forum, an hour-long conservative live news and talk show hosted by columnist Armstrong Williams, will feature a roundtable discussion about the vital role of investigative journalism in the media. The guests this week include Sharyl Attkisson, host of “Full Measure with Sharyl Attkisson” which debuts nationwide on Sunday; Kimberly Atkins, columnist and reporter for The Boston Herald; and Bob Cusack, editor in chief, The Hill

“In recent weeks there have been historic events, political surprises, as well as scientific and corporate announcements making headlines,” Armstrong notes. “There has been a lot of coverage, but has there been enough context? Have American media consumers heard as much as they could have about so-called news worthy events? Have other significant events and people been given little or no media coverage, and who decides? These questions are at the core of this week’s broadcast.”

The group will examine the visit of Pope Francis and wide ranging meetings at the United Nations this week, among other topics.

“We’re going to have a great opportunity to have talented and insightful journalists put the news of the day under a microscope, as well as their industry. Sharyl Attkisson will join us to discuss the debut of her new national show ’Full Measure.’ If you miss the days when hard-hitting, investigative news reports were commonplace, wonder if there is a liberal media bias and want to know whether corporate interests really shape today’s media landscape, you won’t want to miss a minute of our show with Sharyl,” Armstrong says.

The Right Side Forum, which debuted in January, airs live on Saturday mornings at 10:30 a.m. on News Channel 8 in the Washington, D.C., area, and repeats again at 6:30 p.m.
