While live tweeting the first Democratic debate on Tuesday night, GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump asked his followers who they thought was winning, to which former Red Sox pitcher and ESPN correspondent Curt Schilling replied: “ISIS.”

Most answers to Mr. Trump’s question predictably ranged between “no one” and “You, Mr. Trump!” but Mr. Schilling’s response, referencing the Islamic State terrorist group, came in stark contrast, Mediaite reported.

Mr. Schilling is known for being an outspoken Republican and has even claimed that his conservatism kept him from being inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

He came under fire in August for posting several anti-Muslim tweets and Facebook posts, prompting ESPN to pull him from their regular lineup of correspondents.
