LAS VEGAS — Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton showed up at a union demonstration Monday in front of the non-union Trump Hotel here, delivered a blistering attack on GOP rival Donald Trump.
Mrs. Clinton said the union workers had a right to fight for better pay, hours and working conditions and that meant “saying no to Donald Trump,”
“Some people think Mr. Trump is entertaining. But I don’t think it’s entertaining when somebody insults immigrants, insults women. That is just unacceptable behavior,” Mrs. Clinton said at the union protests a day before the first Democratic presidential debate in Las Vegas.
Mrs. Clinton wore a red blouse that matched the color of the T-shirts worn by the protesters from Culinary Workers Union Local 226. She spoke in front of a truck covered with a poster by Culinary Workers Union local 226 that read: “Make America great again! Mr. Trump, start here.”
“We’re here together in solidarity to organize. We also want to send a message to Mr Trump that if you are going to run for president, then you should represent all the people of the United States,” she said. “You should not stand in the way of the right to organize, because that’s what built the middle class.”
