ATLANTA — Washington Redskins cornerback Chris Culliver and tight end Jordan Reed are inactive against the Atlanta Falcons.

Reed sustained a concussion against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3. Culliver played the entire game against the Eagles despite a left knee injury, but the Redskins decided to shut him down this week.

The other inactive players are quarterback Robert Griffin III, receiver DeSean Jackson, cornerback DeAngelo Hall, defensive end Frank Kearse and left guard Arie Kouandjio.

Jackson, who pulled his left hamstring in Week 1, returned to practice on Wednesday, but Redskins coach Jay Gruden said they felt it was best to give him another week to recover.

The fact that Arie Kouandjio is inactive shows the Redskins’ trust in second-year left guard Spencer Long, who became the starter after Shawn Lauvao was placed on injured reserve with a lateral ankle sprain.

For the Falcons, wide receiver Justin Hardy, cornerback Dezmen Southward, safety Charles Godfrey, linebacker Justin Durant, center Gino Gradkowski, right tackle Bryce Harris and defensive end Malliciah Goodman are inactive.

Receiver Julio Jones is active, despite a hamstring injury. Running back Tevin Coleman, who missed the last two games because of cracked ribs, is also active.
