The Kansas City Royals just completed an amazing run and are the 2015 World Series Champions. Throughout the course of the last two seasons, the Royals have earned a reputation for never quitting.

Kansas City fights to win even when it appears all hope is lost. Early this past season, the so-called baseball experts predicted the Royals would win only 70 games. The Royals instead finished the season with more wins than any other team in the American League. Time and time again during the season opposing fans would begin victory celebrations prematurely before falling to one of Kansas City’s patented comeback wins.

The bottom line? The Kansas City Royals always fought the good fight.

Paul Ryan, Mitch McConnell and the GOP could learn a thing or two from KC. Rather than rolling over at the threat of a presidential veto, rather than scrapping legislative votes because conventional wisdom tells them it can’t be done and rather than shying away from tough media fights, the Republicans should take a page from the Royals and always fight the good fight.

In doing so the GOP would win more battles and even when they lose, they would garner a lot more respect.

Congratulations to the Kansas City Royals, a great example for us all.
