Ke’Arre Stewart and Jennifer Markovsky have been identified as two of the people killed in the Friday attack on a Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs, which also resulted in the death of University of Colorado Police Officer Garrett Swasey.

The Denver Post reports that Mr. Stewart, 29, was a Texas native and an Army veteran who served in Iraq. His wife told KKTV that he left behind two children “whose lives will never be the same.”

Family members of Ms. Markovsky, 36, told HawaiiNewsNow that she was at the Planned Parenthood clinic supporting a friend. The Denver Post reports that she was a stay-at-home mother and survived by her husband and two children. On Facebook, Ms. Markovsky’s father, John Ah King, mourned his daughter by posting, “Life was too short for my beloved daughter. I was waiting to see you soon.”

The third victim, Officer Swasey, was a 44-year-old former championship ice skater and father of two.

Police have arrested Robert Lewis Dear, 57, in connection with the shooting, which killed three and injured nine others. After his arrest, Mr. Dear reportedly said, “no more baby parts,” according to a law enforcement official.

Police continue to investigate the incident.
