German police have arrested three people near the western city of Aachen in connection with the deadly terrorist attacks in Paris over the weekend.
Two women and one man were arrested in connection to the attacks that left 129 people dead and 352 wounded on Nov. 13, Reuters reported.
The three suspects were foreign nationals, Germany’s DPA news agency reported. They were arrested in the town of Alsdorf, just northeast of the city of Aachen.
The arrests were made at a job center around 9:30 a.m. local time, local newspaper Aachener Zeitung reported. The identities and nationalities of the three suspects have not been disclosed.
“We had received some tip-offs indicating that one of the individuals sought in connection with the events in Paris was in our jurisdiction,” a police official said, German news agency Deutsche Welle reported.
Police across Europe have been searching for 26-year-old Salah Abdeslam, the brother of one of the suicide bombers in Paris. Mr. Abdeslam reportedly spent several days in Germany in September.
