In the wake of the Paris terrorist attacks, President Obama will host French President Francois Hollande at the White House next week.
The White House said Mr. Obama and Mr. Hollande will coordinate efforts to assist the French investigation into the attacks, discuss further cooperation in the U.S.-led coalition to fight the Islamic State in the Middle East, and will “reiterate our shared determination to confront the scourge of terrorism.”
Their meeting on Nov. 24 comes after Mr. Hollande called on Mr. Obama and Russian President Vladimir Putin to join forces to fight the Islamic State in Syria. Russia is not part of the coalition, and Moscow’s forces are instead fighting in support of Syrian President Bashar Assad, an opponent of the U.S.
