Two of the Obama administration’s top homeland security officials will brief the House on Tuesday about what the U.S. knows about the Paris terrorist attacks.
The classified briefing by Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson and FBI Director James B. Comey will be at 5:30 p.m. at the Capitol Visitors Center auditorium and will be open to all members, according to the office of House Speaker Paul Ryan.
The Wisconsin Republican had requested an all-member briefing.
Several lawmakers have pushed various types of legislation in the days since the Islamist terrorists killed at least 129 people in several Parisian locations. The proposals — whether actual bills or just rhetoric for now — range from limiting the ability for Syrian refugees to enter the U.S. to stepping up the war on the Islamic State that claimed credit for the attack.
