About 13.5 million people tuned into Tuesday’s prime-time GOP presidential debate on Fox Business Network, delivering the news channel its highest-rated program since it launched in 2007 but falling short of the viewership numbers for the previous three prime-time Republican debates.

The prime-time debate in Milwaukee also peaked at more than 1.4 million concurrent live streams, beating out CNN’s 921,000 concurrent live streams for the Sept. 16 GOP debate, the network said.

The earlier undercard debate averaged 4.7 million total viewers.

The third prime-time GOP debate in Colorado, which aired on CNBC last month, averaged 14 million total viewers.

An average of 23 million people tuned in to watch CNN’s prime-time GOP debate in September — slightly less than the approximately 24 million people who watched the first prime-time debate on Fox News in August.
