Four days after the conclusion of the NFL draft, the Washington Redskins announced they have signed 11 undrafted free agents, including Washington State quarterback Connor Halliday and Texas A&M running back Trey Williams.
In his four years with the Cougars, Halliday set program records with 11,304 passing yards, 90 touchdown passes and a completion percentage of 62. He is listed a 6 feet 3 and 204 pounds. New Redskins general manager Scot McCloughan attended his pro day workout last month.
Williams, a 5-foot-7, 195-pound running back, averaged 6.6 yards per carry during his career with the Aggies, scoring 18 touchdowns in 36 games and rushing for 1,343 yards.
The Redskins signed five other offensive players: San Diego wide receiver Reggie Bell, Arkansas offensive lineman Brey Cook, Northwestern wide receiver Tony Jones, BYU tight end Devin Mahina and Dubuque wide receiver Tyler Rutenbeck. They also added three players on defense: Clemson defensive end Corey Crawford, Syracuse linebacker Dyshawn Davis and Central Florida linebacker Terrance Plummer. UAB kicker Ty Long rounds out the group.
With those additions, Washington now has 77 players on its active roster, not including the 10 players it selected in last weekend’s draft. The team can have no more than 90 players entering training camp.
In his post-draft press conference Monday, McCloughan said the Redskins had agreed to terms with 13 undrafted free agents, leaving two more players yet to be announced.

“I’m always looking to make the roster stronger,” McCloughan said. “This team has gotten better in my opinion, but we’re not even close to where we’re going to get to.”
