Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal is scheduled to be out with a new book in October called “American Will: The Forgotten Choices That Changed Our Republic.”
But don’t call it a campaign book for Mr. Jindal, who is weighing a 2016 run for president.
“I think those books are actually quite boring,” Mr. Jindal told the Associated Press.
Publisher Threshold Editions said in a Tuesday news release that in the book, Mr. Jindal “brings to life some of history’s greatest lessons, and shows how we can apply them to today’s most critical issues.”
“Whether it’s the exciting story behind the Louisiana Purchase, the conflict between the Federalists and anti-Federalists, Reagan v. Nixon on the welfare front, or how the Cold War was nearly lost, AMERICAN WILL illustrates the dramatic tales that demonstrate the courage, faith, and vision that we need in 2016 and what we can learn from our past,” the release reads.
Mr. Jindal, who came out with another book, “Leadership and Crisis,” in 2010, told the AP he hopes people get to read his new book regardless of whether he runs.
