Iranian barbers are now required to deny customer’s hairstyles deemed to be favored by the devil.

Young men seeking spiked or unorthodox haircuts will no longer have the option of paying licensed professionals for newly designated un-Islamic services.

“Devil worshipping hairstyles are now forbidden. Any shop that cuts hair in the devil worshipping style will be harshly dealt with and their license revoked,” Mostafa Govahi, the head of Iran’s Barbers Union, told an Iranian news agency, Agence France Presse reported Monday.

Men will also not be allowed to have their eyebrows plucked, AFP reported.

“Usually the barber shops who do this do not have a license. They have been identified and will be dealt with,” Mr. Govahi added, AFP said.
