Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Massachusetts Democrat, says she’s just fine with whatever criticism Wall Street wants to throw at her.

At a panel at Harvard Monday, Ms. Warren was asked if she’d be willing to accept Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s response to Wall Street criticism of him: “I welcome their hatred.”

“Sure,” Ms. Warren said, according to National Journal. “I didn’t go to Washington to try to help those guys. They already have an army of lobbyists and army of lawyers. I’ve always known what I was in this fight for.”

Ms. Warren has enthralled the far left of the party with her frequent criticism of Wall Street and big banks, but has rejected pleas from some activist groups for her to enter the 2016 presidential race as an alternative to former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, the Democratic frontrunner.

Asked about the prospect of Mrs. Clinton being an effective “sheriff” if elected president, Ms. Warren said there’s a moment to seize the chance to make the Wall Street system safer, the report said.

“Hillary Clinton will have a chance,” she said.
