James Bond may have turned to the Dark side: Simon Pegg told a reporter that Daniel Craig will play a stormtrooper in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

Mr. Pegg was asked about rumors that he has a cameo role in the J.J. Abrams movie, to which he replied “I wasn’t a stormtrooper. Daniel Craig, he was a stormtrooper,” the U.K. Independent reported Friday. “I shouldn’t have said that,” he quickly added. The actor was promoting “Man Up” in London at the time.

“Daniel asked for some sort of secret cameo role — and was happy to have his name left off the posters. Fans will love trying to work out which covered up character is him,” a source told the newspaper.

“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” stars John Boyega, Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac. The Disney film also includes Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher. The movie will be in theaters Dec. 18, 2015.
