Analysis/Opinion
Some hardcore liberal ghouls came out of the woodwork shortly after the overnight crash of an Amtrak train near Philadelphia, saying Republicans are to blame for failing to fund infrastructure spending and increasing the federal train agency’s budget.
Donald Trump chimed in on Twitter — between tweets on his gold course and — of course, tennis player Serena Williams.
TRAIN WRECK just the beginning. Our roads, airports, tunnels, bridges, electric grid - all falling apart.I can fix for 20% of pols, & better
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 13, 2015
And:
The only one to fix the infrastructure of our country is me - roads, airports, bridges. I know how to build, pols only know how to talk!

The liberal Politico website got in on the act, too, with editor Blake Housnell saying the derailment just happens to fall on a eve when the House will discuss Republicans budget cuts to Amtrak funding:
Amtrak crash comes on the eve of … markup session to cut Amtrak budget https://t.co/aWta0t8tx1

CNN also jumped in on the blame game. Reporter Cristina Alesci, reporting from a train station, was speaking with host Carol Costello when the pair had this exchange:
Alesci: There’s going to be increasing questions about infrastructure, and whether infrastructure along this corridor can really handle the kind of capacity that it’s seen in the last couple of year, and how recent increases will really tax the system.
Costello: And it’s interesting, Cristina, because at 10 a.m. Eastern time the House Appropriations Committee will meet, and this was planned of course before this train accident happened, but on the agenda, lawmakers are considering cutting the Amtrak budget by hundreds of millions of dollars.
While the MSM and liberals bemoaned Republicans, dismissed out of hand was the idea that maybe the derailment was a terrorist act. “No proof,” said CNN a.m. anchor Chris Cuomo.
