Comedian Chris Rock took at shot at NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell with a tweet comparing the suspension meted out to Patriots quarterback Tom Brady to that handed out to former Ravens running back Ray Rice.
Rock tweeted: “I hear there’s elevator footage of Tom Brady punching footballs in the face.”
Brady was suspended for four games by Goodell Monday after a four-month “Deflategate” probe found only that it was “more probable than not” that the Patriots tampered with inflation levels of footballs for the AFC Championship game.
By comparison, Rice was initially only suspended two games by Goodell after getting arrested for beating his girlfriend. Goodell upped the suspension after TMZ made public a video of Rice’s brutal elevator attack.
