CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — A program in Chapel Hill will give eight public housing neighborhoods free high-speed Internet.

WRAL-TV (https://bit.ly/1dVwdnq) reports N.C. Next Generation Network will provide the service to eight of the town’s 13 public housing neighborhoods at no cost for the next five years. It is scheduled to be installed by the end of the year.

Residents of Chapel Hill public housing ages 14 and up can also get a free, refurbished laptop if they complete a four-part computer training class with the Kramden Institute. The programs will cover topics such as computer basics and standard office programs.
