A person familiar with the deal says an international media company will distribute NFL TV rights across mainland Europe for the next five seasons in an agreement worth about $50 million.

The person tells The Associated Press that the deal with MP & Silva covers 42 territories — not Britain or Germany — for preseason and regular season games, all playoff games and the Super Bowl.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the deal had not been announced yet.

Based in London and Singapore, MP & Silva holds at least some rights for most of Europe’s soccer leagues.

The NFL’s previous deal for this area was with IMG.

A formal announcement was expected later Monday.
