Georgetown guard D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera was selected to the Big East first team on Sunday after he averaged 16.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.3 assists this season.

Villanova guard Darrun Hilliard and Providence forward LaDontae Henton and guard Kris Dunn were all unanimous picks to the all-Big East team.

Butler guard Kellen Dunham, St. John’s guard D’Angelo Harrison and Villanova guard Ryan Arcidiacono rounded out the seven-man first team.

The team was selected by the league’s coaches.

Hilliard led the fourth-ranked Wildcats, the Big East regular-season champions the last two seasons, in scoring at 14.2 points per game. Henton was the league’s top scorer at 20.1 points per game and Dunn became the first player to lead the Big East with 7.7 assists and 2.8 steals.

The second team was Sir’Dominic Pointer of St. John’s, Xavier’s Matt Stainbrook, Marquette’s Matt Carlino, Sterling Gibbs of Seton Hall and Roosevelt Jones of Butler.

The conference’s major individual awards will be announced Wednesday in advance of the start of the Big East tournament.
