Evangelist Bryan Fischer blasted Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly on his radio show saying she is “being blinded by Satan” on immigration issues.

Earlier this week Ms. Kelly interviewed Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal on his call to ban Muslims who want to “impose some variant of Sharia law” from the U.S. by changing immigration laws. The popular host argued that Mr. Jindal’s proposal challenged America’s basic founding principles, asking “Are we going to start banning everybody who doesn’t treat women or children or criminals for that matter the way we like?”

A listener called in to Mr. Fischer’s radio show to say he was incredibly troubled by Ms. Kelly’s resistance to Mr. Jindal’s proposal, Mediaite reported Friday.

Mr. Fischer responded that it was “alarming” that someone “as bright and capable and influential” as Ms. Kelly could not understand the danger that the Islamic State poses to the United States and that Congress has the right to amend immigration law as they see fit.

He went on to say that Ms. Kelly’s misjudgment can be explained by biblical teachings that Satan uses his power to lead people astray, Mediaite reported.

Mr. Fischer said, when someone like Ms. Kelly cannot see the danger of the Islamic State, it’s because “they are being subject to a blindness and they are not even aware that their eyes have been blinded.”
