Conservative radio host Glenn Beck heightened his ongoing battle with former Bush adviser Karl Rove, saying he and other establishment Republicans “have the spine of a worm, the ethics of whores, and the integrity or pirates,” on Friday.

Following Mr. Beck’s announcement that he was leaving the GOP, claiming establishment Republicans don’t stand on conservative principles and trash true conservatives, Mr. Rove said the announcement was “old news” during an interview on The O’Reilly Factor.

Mr. Beck took to Facebook afterward to respond to Mr. Rove’s ambivalence.

“You want to rumble Rove? Come on to my show and let’s have it out. Bring it on,” Mr. Beck challenged, Mediaite reported Saturday.

Mr. Beck continued to blast Mr. Rove and establishment Republicans for not following through on any of their campaign promises. He came down on Mr. Rove for putting too much importance on “strategy” and for wasting opportunities to fulfill true conservative policy promises under President Bush.

“It is sad that you can no longer hear the American People because they could save you. Instead you listen to your political consultants and the amazing thing is you still believe all of it,” Mr. Beck continued, Mediaite reported. “Can you not smell what you are shoveling anymore? The world has changed.”
