The FBI and the Justice Department are investigating the financial activities of Rep. Aaron Schock of Illinois as Mr. Schock prepares to leave Congress amid scrutiny of his campaign expenses and business activities, multiple outlets reported Friday.

CNN reported that the investigation is focused on at least three questions, which include mileage reimbursements accounted for by Mr. Schock, travel that was paid for by donors and unreported in-kind contributions.

Mr. Schock announced this week that he would be leaving Congress at the end of the month amid the heightened scrutiny and growing questions surrounding his finances.
