A Virginia woman has been sentenced to a year in prison for making her two young children take nude photos of her for an online prostitution ad.
Nataliya Davis, 44, of Loudoun County, was convicted of two counts of child neglect and given a year in prison for each charge that she will serve concurrently, according to the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney.
Sheriff’s deputies also contacted Child Protective Services in February 2014 after several visits where officers noticed chilly temperatures in the house, cockroaches running around and the two children — 8 and 9 years old — sitting on the laps of men who weren’t relatives.
She was subsequently arrested for prostitution following neighbor complaints that a large number of men were going in and out of the home. Police surveillance showed her, sometimes half-dressed, escorting men into and out of the house.
Davis made several phone calls while in prison where she indicated that she had directed her children to take nude photos of her so she could post them online in a prostitution ad.
Police said they found numerous pictures of Davis nude. In ones that the children didn’t take, they are often visible in the background of the photo, officials said.
Davis, a native of Ukraine, can now only contact her children through the Department of Family Services. She is subject to deportation upon her release.
