Hillary Clinton does not want her private emails made public, but as an American citizen I don’t want public emails kept private. Mrs. Clinton made a poor decision, and for that the American public should not be left in the dark.

The simple resolution rests in our president’s hands. He has the authority or order that the computer server be secured and searched for any public emails. Why he has thus far remained silent and actionless is baffling to me (but also a characteristic of his). Shouldn’t we all expect our chief executive to be the staunchest advocate for finding the truth, wherever it leads? President Obama’s reluctance puts the light of suspicion on him, just as it does on Mrs. Clinton.

As a nation, why do we accept these evasive tactics? We must remember that politicians work for us, not the other way around. It will now take a massive phone-call-and-letter-writing campaign to the president demanding that he do what should have already been done. If you feel the same, please write or call the White House.
