Ikea will spend $1.13 billion to combat climate change, the furniture retailer announced Thursday.

Company CEO Peter Agnefjal said investments geared towards helping developing nations cope with climate change will be a “win, win, win” for its customers, Reuters reported. Funds will also be spent on developing sources of renewable energy.

“People want their leaders to lead. That includes companies like ourselves,” Mr. Agnefjal told Reuters.

Ikea, the world’s largest furniture retailer, has 315 stores in 27 countries and territories.
