The Wizards could use help at power forward, on the wing and at backup point guard when they pick 19th overall.
PF Bobby Portis, Arkansas
Portis is a hard-playing big man with a bit of range. If unrestricted free agent Drew Gooden returns, the Wizards would have Nene, Gooden and Kris Humphries at the position.
SG R.J. Hunter, Georgia State
Hunter worked out for the Wizards on Tuesday. His stock has likely reached the point that he will not be around when the Wizards pick. If he is, his shooting would be valued.
SG/SF Justin Anderson, Virginia
NBA people like his frame, athleticism and training in help-side defense. They wonder about the sustainability of his long-distance shooting and overall ball-handling.
PG/SG Jerian Grant, Notre Dame
A local whose father, Harvey, played for the Wizards, would fit as a backup to John Wall. Grant could also play alongside Wall or Bradley Beal.
PF Kevon Looney, UCLA
Like Portis, Looney would provide a young power forward option. He’s quite young — he turned 19 in February — is a long 6-foot-9 and has shown shooting range, though he needs work around the basket.
