The White House on Monday slammed Judy Mozes, a media personality and the wife of Israeli Interior Minister Silvan Shalom, after she tweeted over the weekend that President Obama is “black and weak.”
In the tweet, which was quickly deleted, Ms. Mozes claims she was merely repeating a joke she had heard.
“Do u know what Obama coffee is? Black and weak,” she tweeted.
Despite repeated apologies from Ms. Mozes, administration officials said the tweet showed her true character.
“On Twitter you’re limited to 140 characters but it still has the capacity to be quite revealing,” White House press secretary Josh Earnest said, adding that it appeared to be an example of “another politician trying to sell books.”
