On June 17th, a 21-year-old man named Dylann Roof murdered nine people at Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, and he has reportedly confessed. Mr. Roof may well have been under the influence of mind-altering controlled substances at the time of the crimes.

As bad as the senseless murder of nine people was, the response from the Obama Regime and the far left was even worse. Barack Obama immediately demanded more gun control. This of course ignores the fact that Mr. Roof had already violated gun control laws before he pulled the trigger. He was on bail for felony drug charges. He should not have had a gun. But criminals don’t seem to want to obey laws.

That concept is a shocker to liberals.

The church was a gun-free zone. Carrying a gun into a church is a felony under South Carolina law. That didn’t seem to bother Mr. Roof at all. In fact, that may have been a motivating factor for him to choose the church as a target.

Far left analyst Van Jones took to Twitter to demand the media use the term “white racist terrorist” to refer to Mr. Roof. Other parts of the left attacked “white privilege” as the cause of the shooting.

The left, led by President Obama, wants to divide America by race. Real Americans are all appalled by what happened in Charleston. Real Americans are also appalled by the way Mr. Obama and the far left are using this event to advance their anti-liberty agenda.

Real Americans should stand up to Mr. Obama and the far left. We should have one simple message for them: We are all Americans. Despite your attempts to divide us, we are all Americans. Our colors are not black and white; they are red, white and blue.

This Sunday, Mother Emmanuel AME Church is scheduled to hold its regular services. Every real American within driving distance of Charleston should go to that church and show America’s support for that church and its parishioners.

The church will have standing room only as it is, although that does not matter. We need to send a message to those who would divide us based on race. We are Americans and we will not let you divide us. That church needs to not only have standing-room-only, but it needs to be surrounded by real Americans who stand in support of that church and the people who make up that church.

In the 1960s, whites and blacks marched together to change unjust laws. They marched together because they were all Americans. That is a message that is lost on the left.

America weeps today over the senseless murder of nine people at Mother Emanuel AME Church. We cannot allow politicians to use this tragedy for their own purposes.

This Sunday, all of America needs to stand with Charleston and the church that was victimized by a crazy murderer.
