The Democratic Party took a few shots at the Republican presidential field after Donald Trump declared his bid for the White House.

Today, Donald Trump became the second major Republican candidate to announce for president in two days. He adds some much-needed seriousness that has previously been lacking from the GOP field, and we look forward hearing more about his ideas for the nation,” the Democratic National Committee spokeswoman Holly Shulman said in a statement.

On Twitter, the Party said Trump’s entry into the race upgrades “the GOP clown car to a Rolls-Royce. Zing.”
