Michael Cohen, executive vice president of the Trump Organization and special counsel to Donald Trump, says the 2016 GOP presidential candidate is not a “politico,” but rather an outsider who can be identified by any one of a number of titles.

Mr. Cohen said that the media is looking to “divide” and “make Mr. Trump into the outsider.”

“Which, by the way, he is,” Mr. Cohen said Thursday evening on Fox News’ “Hannity” program. “He’s not a politico — he’s a mega-billionaire real estate developer, celebrity, author, movie star, etcetera — that’s what he is, all right? He’s not a politico. And they’re afraid. And they have the right to be afraid.”

“Because you know what he does, Sean? He speaks to … what everybody’s talking about at the water cooler at work: ’I’m afraid of illegal immigration,’ ” he said.

“Donald Trump’s going to be the Republican candidate,” Mr. Cohen said.
