BALTIMORE — Cast members from HBO’s “The Wire” are reuniting for a special performance to honor four of Baltimore’s “unsung heroes.”

Rewired for Change, the nonprofit founded by actress Sonja Sohn, says the free event is set for Saturday afternoon at Lyric Opera House and will feature a special musical guest. The nonprofit will present the Wired Up! Awards and will host a fundraiser for its community grant program.

Participating cast members are expected to include: Dominic West, Michael Kenneth Williams, Wendell Pierce, Seth Gilliam, Chad L. Coleman, Larry Gilliard, Jr, Andre Royo, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Jaime Hector, Tristan “Mack” Wilds and Felicia “Snoop” Pearson.

The cast issued a statement saying Baltimore’s uprising was caused by people in marginalized communities being ignored by the establishment.

Tickets for the event are available at https://wiredup.splashthat.com.
