OPINION:
President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry received their degrees from the same school: Harvard University. Apparently they also graduated from the Neville Chamberlain night school of diplomacy, where both majored in appeasement and capitulation strategies and minored in bowing to foreign leaders.
In the history of mankind, can anyone name one instance in which a radical, fanatical leader lived up to a diplomatic agreement? How did pacts with Hitler, Stalin, Mao and Ho Chi Minh work out? Beginning with President Jimmy Carter, we started down the same appeasement path with North Korea to prevent it from getting nuclear weapons. How did that work out?
Iran has never lived up to a diplomatic agreement. The idea that it would live up to this latest one is enormously stupid. Iran’s leaders’ goal is to get nuclear weapons at any cost, and they are working on a delivery system that will reach America. Iran’s mullahs want a climatic war to usher in what they believe will lead to Islam’s control of the world. And we think a piece of paper is going to stop them from doing it.
In Mr. Obama and Mr. Kerry, the world has the Abbott-and-Costello of foreign policy, two fools leading us to an inevitable nuclear exchange with unimaginable consequences.
