Democrat Barack Obama said in the second presidential debate in October of 2008: “We cannot allow Iran to get a nuclear weapon. It would be a game-changer in the region. Not only would it threaten Israel, our strongest ally in the region and one of our strongest allies in the world, but it would also create a possibility of nuclear weapons falling into the hands of terrorists. And so it’s unacceptable. And I will do everything that’s required to prevent it. And we will never take military options off the table.”
It was a lie.
In front of the General Assembly of the Union for Reformed Judaism in December 2011, he said this: “Another grave concern — and a threat to the security of Israel, the United States and the world — is Iran’s nuclear program. And that’s why our policy has been absolutely clear: We are determined to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons…and that’s why, rest assured, we will take no options off the table. We have been clear.”
That was a lie as well.
In fact, Mr. Obama and fellow Democrat John Kerry made similar promises over and over the last several years. These promises were all lies. President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry have just inked a deal to allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons in the near term.
This has been the agenda all along. The agenda has most definitely not been the national security of the United States and our allies, hence the announcement that two of our historically strongest partners in the Middle East, Israel and Saudi Arabia, strange bedfellows to say the least, are teaming up against the Iran “deal.” They are scared to death of a nuclear, Islamic, Persian theocracy threatening them and all of their neighbors. The Obama adminstration has been colluding with the mullah’s of Iran and Russia to allow Iran to get the bomb and everything that entails for the Middle East and the world. And by the way, it also seems Russia expects U.S. missile defense to be dismantled in Europe. Where did they get this idea? This whole “negotiation” has been a show. Now we see the end game, hence Mr. Obama threatening Congress to not get in the way of implementation of what was agreed to in Vienna.
One must look at the consequences of Mr. Obama’s policies and actions to ascertain what the real agenda is. You cannot listen to what he says. None of it is true. Let’s take the Middle East as a whole for instance.
When Mr. Obama became president, Iraq was relatively stable. Yes, the Maliki government was corrupt and the situation was fragile. However, removing American troops from Iraq completely destabilized the fledgeling democracy and now we are seeing the result — a barbaric, violent, Islamic caliphate is raging across the Levant and pushing the envelopes of their territory all the way into the Caucasus. Iran, a global supporter of terrorism, has established hegemony in the region and soon will have the bomb. We still have troops in Korea, Germany and Japan for a reason. We should still have a small contingent in Iraq. But stability and safeguarding American interests was not the goal.
A Middle Eastern nuclear arms race will ensue that will make the entire world much more dangerous. This has direct national security consequences for the United States. If you take the thought process further, what would be the agenda in creating this scenario? Despite what Mr. Obama says, why would he want this outcome? The inference is frightening.
I fear the worst. I fear Mr. Obama’s real agenda all along was to weaken the global power of America. There is no other rational conclusion from what has transpired. And it’s not just in the Middle East. The consequences of the Obama Doctrine has been the loss of American power and prestige everywhere, from North Korea, to Russia, China, etc. Our allies no longer trust us and our enemies no longer fear us.
The real tragedy is that no one left in the Democratic Party has the guts to stand up to Mr. Obama. Sen. Bob Menendez has been effectively silenced by the Obama administration’s continued judicial abuse. The administration has threatened anyone who gets in its way from the Tea Party to Democrats willing to stand up to what is going on. This makes the Democratic Party complicit in the weakening of America.
