Comedian Bill Cosby appears to have lost one of his staunchest defenders: Whoopi Goldberg.

“The View” co-host has consistently defended Mr. Cosby, 77, from allegations that he raped and drugged multiple women. She now says that all available public information “points to guilt.”

The ABC co-host sat down with the network’s Chief Legal Analyst Dan Abrams on Tuesday when she announced her change of opinion. After a discussion on the statute of limitations in rape cases, she said, “If this is to be tried in the court of public opinion, all the information that is out there kind of points to guilt,” Fox reported.

Last week, unsealed court documents from 2005 revealed that Mr. Cosby admitted giving Quaaludes to at least one woman with whom he had sex. Ms. Goldberg denounced “snap judgments” at the time and said, “Save your texts, save your nasty comments. I don’t care.”

The abuse case in question was settled out of court in 2006. Despite more than two dozen woman who have recently come forward with accusations of sexual misconduct, Mr. Cosby has never been criminally charged.
