OPINION:
How many criminal activities committed by illegal aliens here in Virginia have to occur before we wise up? Our commonwealth has sanctuary cities in Alexandria, Virginia Beach and in Fairfax County, all sanctioned by the Virginia legislature.
Crimes such as robberies, drug trafficking, rapes, assault and murder occur daily. But because of sanctuary, in cases in which the criminals who commit them are illegal aliens, those perpetrators are treated with kid gloves. Even worse, scores of illegal aliens are drawn to our cities because they know they are safe, subsidized and welcomed.
The Virginia legislature and Democratic Gov. Terry McAuliffe apparently couldn’t care less that sanctuary is dangerous and costly to Virginia and its residents. Maybe next time someone is killed, raped or robbed, Virginians will wake up. Just hope it isn’t you or someone in your family.
