Syrian President Bashar Assad reportedly has a new weapon at his disposal: a platoon of loyal soldiers with the special mission of suicide bombing.

The Middle East Media Research Institute posted a video that included clips of masked men declaring themselves part of the Syrian Army’s Mountain Battalion, “the establishment of a martyrdom-seeking platoon,” The Times of Israel reported.

“This is our response to all the foreigners who have distorted the religion of Islam and have defiled the soil of our country,” one representative of the group says in the video, the news outlet reported.

“The language of killing has never been taught on the land of Syria,” the representative said. “Our language is the language of defending the country and its master [Assad] against all those who have sold their souls to Satan and his followers. We are ready to sacrifice our lives so that the banner of truth will fly high.”
