Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is headed to Greenwich, Connecticut, Wednesday to raise money for a newly announced leadership PAC as he tests the waters for a possible presidential bid, according to an invitation to the event.

The host committee includes Richard Breeden, chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission under former President George H.W. Bush, and David McCormick, a former Treasury undersecretary for international affairs during the administration of former President George W. Bush, Hearst Connecticut reported.

The reception is being organized by Craig and Debbie Walker Stapleton; he was an ambassador during the second Bush presidency, and she is a family cousin.

The list of names is illustrative of the kind of financial and political ties the former Florida governor could have at his disposal should he eventually take the plunge and run for president.

Though the Bush family is now more closely associated with Texas, Prescott Bush Sr., Jeb’s grandfather, lived in Greenwich, and former President George W. Bush was born in New Haven.
