A juror who served on the panel that decided against charging Missouri then Police Officer Darren Wilson for shooting and killing Ferguson teen Michael Brown is now suing for the right to speak about the case in public.
The juror wants a federal court to lift the lifetime ban that’s imposed on grand juries, BBC reported.
The juror — who is not even identified by gender — also says the prosecutor in the case, Robert McCulloch, was wrong in claiming that all the jurors agreed against charging Mr. Wilson, BBC reported.
The complaint was filed on Monday with the assistance of the American Civil Liberties Union’s Missouri chapter. The plaintiff basically seeks a court injunction that would allow for public discussions by the jurors about the Brown proceedings, without having to fear or face retribution.
