The Apple Watch — the company’s first major new product since its release of the iPad in 2010 — is poised for shipment in April.
CEO Tim Cook said his expectations “are very high” that the watch will make a massive wave in the technology world, CNET reported.
He also said: “I’m using it every day and love it and can’t live without it. I see that we’re making great progress on the development of it.”
Previously, Apple only said it was planning to ship out the product in the early months of 2015.
The watch made a splashy announcement in September, during a much-ballyhooed event that included introduction of its large-screen iPhone 6 and iPhone6 Plus. The Apple Watch will cost $349 at the lowest end, CNET reported.
Mr. Cook also said that the sheer numbers of developers who were devising apps for the new watch is “impressive,” CNET reported.
Details about the watch’s features are still largely an unknown, the media outlet said. Apple has yet to provide detailed information about its pricing plans and its product features.
