Fresh off a trip to Iowa, home of the first-in-the-nation caucuses, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry is scheduled to attend two public events in the first-in-the-south presidential primary state of South Carolina Tuesday before heading to Pennsylvania for a Republican party dinner Friday.

Mr. Perry is scheduled to attend a breakfast hosted by the Spartanburg County GOP in Greenville and a reception for the South Carolina House Republican Caucus in Columbia Tuesday evening, the Houston Chronicle reported.

He’s coming off a trip to Iowa for GOP Rep. Steve King’s “Iowa Freedom Summit,” along with a host of other potential presidential contenders in 2016.
