Hollywood’s leftist movie-maker, Michael Moore, sent out a series of tweets dripping with sarcasm, citing Jesus to make the point that he doubted very much the savior of the Christian world would “hide” and “shoot people in the back” — an apparent dig at the film about Chris Kyle, “American Sniper.”
His first tweet, Mediaite reported: “Tomorrow’s Sunday School (1) What Would Jesus Do? Oh, I know what he’d do— hide on top of a roof and shoot people in the back!”
And a minute later, Mr. Moore sent out another one: “Sunday School: (2) But What Would Jesus Do if he could be a sniper & save soldiers lives by shooting ’savages’ in the back? ANSWER…”
He sent out another similarly toned Twitter post more than an hour later, that read: “Instead of being a sniper to protect our troops, I tried to save their lives by stopping Bush from sending them to their deaths in Iraq.”
Mr. Moore angered many around the nation with a tweet a few days ago — just a day after “American Sniper” was released in theaters — that called snipers “cowards.” He later said he didn’t mention Kyle or the movie by name in his tweet, suggesting that media criticisms about his slamming of the film were unfounded.
His latest tweets, reported by Mediaite, didn’t mention Kyle or “American Sniper” by name, either.
